TOO many Emails!

As of yesterday i think, i continuously get emails from updates in threads and i dont want an email notification! ive looked over the options a few times and cant seem to find an answer
any reason why this is happening?

check in your user cp
there should be 'disable emails' or soemthing of the sort
ive been getting them for years but i choose not to disable cause it makes me look bad ass with 14000 emails (Y) lol

LOL i did that like 3 years ago. i wanted to see how many i could get.... i had 48,000 emails and wen i wanted rid of them it took me forever! cause i didnt have very speedy internet LOLLL

yeah i just checked mine
it was disabled
but im still getting an ass load of emails =\
