take off front seats , handbrake surround , lower section of centre console and you are 3/4 there. then take off the side parts of the lower door trim and thats pretty much it

No you dont.

Front and rear seats need to be out,
Lower section of the centre console needs to come out also ... all the way down towards the plastic surrounding the handbrake.

Also unbolt the foot rest in the driver side foot well (far left).

YOu should then be able to remove the carpet successfully.

Yeh, the bit of carpet that goes behind the centre console is joined... so my best bet is to cut it also haha.

just cut in the centre where u see fit. where ever it is stuck. once u get on it u will see where it is needed to be cut.

I just took my carpet out of my dc2 today, I only need to make 2 cuts.
One was under the handbrake, and the other was way at the front just left of the foot rest.

I also found it easier taking off the petrol and boot release panel box.
There was also 3 plastic push pins? i don't know the proper name under the rear seats, and make sure you take off the door sills.
