there alright man what sub? as in what are the actual rms? what you gotta remeber is that if you have a sub a monoblock is whats needed bridging an amp is recommended, if you get this amp just run it to your component speakers and get another amp or bridge it if u want , any sound system is good if you set it up right personal choice what are you looking fo rout of this system and how much you wanna spend?

I got the Rogers Alpha-408, alpine 9886 headunit, alpine type r splits, alpine type s 2 ways, and a Jl Audio 10W0 Sub. I wanted to run the splits on two channels and then bridge the other two with the sub. the sun is only 175 W RMS. any good??

you can do that. bridged channels would never match the grunt of a monoblock tho. but that amp should be fine in this application as that sub doesnt demand much..

get us the amp specs if you can, that would clarify any concerns of lack of power.

also, besides that roger amp, have you already bought the rest of the gear??

Yeah, have the alpine speakers running off the headunit, just wanted a little more bass, so I got the JL sub. And the amp I got a week ago, going to make the fiberglass box this week end and install it next week end. The amp is huge, don't know where I am going to mount it...

I have no idea where to get the specs from, I found a Chinese website and they claimed that is was 75 w rms x 4, and bridged 260 w rms x 2. My friend that I bought it off told me that the amp works similar to the JL 300/4 amp. It keeps a constant 75 w rms output it doesn't changes as the battary voltage change...? Not too sure, can't find any thing about these amps.

nah i think you mean its 75rms at 4,2,1ohm.. sorta like the alpine pdx. someone correct me if im wrong.

but yer, that amp should be adequate for your use. if not, use it for the speakers and get a 2chan or monoblock for the sub. simple simple.

amp placement.. behind the backseat?? flushed mounted in bootfloor?? under the seats, depending how big ittis. comes down to how much your willing to spend on installation i guess.

Its huge about 25" x 10". I am going to mount it in the back on the boot wall. Will post up pics as I go! Plus I will be running the splits and the sub off it.
