View Full Version : EG Dash Light Bulbs

I was checking out a DIY for the amber dash and it says to go and buy #24 and #72 automotive bulbs. Is that what theyre actually called? so if i go to autobarn or something, they would know what im talking about?

they wont know what youre talking about and better not go to autobarn. past experience made me shift towards repco or supercheap.. or some other substantial automotive shop.

unless its a specific part number from let say narva bulbs.

take out your old dash bulbs and bring one for them to confirm.

btw my cluster started to melt because the bulbs were too hot. just so you know...
but let other ppl share their experience too

personally i prefer to to to repco and supercheap as their staff seem friendlier and slightly more knowledgable....but if its a generic product that you can get at autobarn, sometimes it is cheaper...and they do look after regular customers.
I think you can order those bulbs on ebay as well.

They're just 10mm and 5mm wedge bulbs aren't they? They sit in a little plastic holder that you twist to lock into place in the back of the cluster. $5 a pack of 2 from autobarn i think it was last time i checked.

they are T5 wedge type bulbs. in an EG there are 5 bulbs

6 d0000de +2 in your ac if you want to paint them as well
When you pull out your cluster look at the back of it, you'll see 6 brown bulb holder things and the reast are black, change only bulbs in the brown holders. the black ones are for your warning lights (hand brake, engine, fuel turn signals etc....)


ohh and yea just ask for t5, not #24 or whatever it is, that's yankee talk

T5 light blub for dash board.. T10 for the front and back pilot lights and the license light.

I modified mine to led 60 led for dashboard
