Wow, I haven't posted here in ages!

I have an EG with a 1.5L twin carb (dunno the engine code) and its over heating !

It happens when I have the aircon on. Shortly after putting the aircon on the temperature rises slowly. I got it up to around 3/4 before a turned the aircon off . The temperature then falls slowly (much faster if i put the heater on).

I have recently (2months ago) put in a new radiator, water pump, thermostat etc. Basically the whole cooling system was overhauled.

I still have plenty of coolant, and everything runs perfectly except when the damn aircon is on!

its so annoying considering summer is coming up!

I hope someone has had a similar problem and can steer me in the right direction.

Cheers

um could it go any higher than the 3/4 range? or did you proceed no further and throw on the heater ?

I didn't let it go any further, I chucked the heater on

When the temp was getting hotter than normal... was your fan kicking in at all?

I haven't bled the system.... If there were air pockets, wouldn't this be an issue even without the aircon being on?

both fans work
