EG Double Din Console Installation Question

im in the process of installing a double din console in my eg and fark its a shit job....



im now installing the cigerette lighter, but on my old console i have an additional wire coming from the light loom and at the end of the wire is a led, that goes into the top of my ashtray...


what do i do with this light?

my new ashtray doesnt neeed it...

just tuck the light away if u dont need it

yep...i left mine dangling inside the console, just make sure it's not covered or crossing any wires...

disconnect the old loom, and connect the new loom that came with the kit.

the cigarette lighter has the wire attached to it...

the loom i got with the box is a extension loom.

i just drilled a small hole in the top of the ashtray, used a small bit a blue tack and put it in there.

so when you open it, it has a light :D

i took the bulb out and just zip tied it so its neat..

alternatively you could slice the wire and rewire it. not bad.

my car wiring is rooted by the last owner...

i play my radio and its always on ATT: i turn my parkers on and it turns off ATT and my music is loud.

my clock flashes with my blinkers.

pull it out and clean em up, rewire, i'ld help if u were in western area, i'm just abit out from footscray.

That could confuse any would be thief if they take your car they could think it might blow up any time soon and leave it :p

Anyhow back to 2din, when i took my old one out i took out the little light that was inside the ash tray. Since i couldn't pull out my old cig lighter i bought a new one from supercheap for around $5 and just hardwired that onto my acc wire off the cd player. And now (well 2 days ago) i took that out and put in a engine start button in the hole instead
