LOL, thats a good ???????

Besides protecting yr Carbon Fiber from too much heat that may damage it, cannot think of anything else!!!!!

yeh you could but the apollo is enclosed already.
and i read on another forum they ran it in a focus and when they opened up the pod it was still cool.
and the bonus is having the CAI feeding to the triangular pod rather than the opened ended pod filters.

hmm would it possible to get a normal 690025TP CAI kit use the SRI set up and get the housing of the apollo for the pod filter???

The pod size is different. I think the filter in the 690025TP is too big to fit into the Apollo housing.

If you think about it , the apollo comes with the complete set from the CAI , filter ,housing, funnel and clips . It cost about S$400. I think if worth the money spend and less the hassel .

Cheers!

plus there is no replaceable filter that i can find for it, just have to use the recharge kit to restore it.

have you thought about changine the pipe connection the pod to the TB? with all those creases in it, the air flow would be pretty turbulent. changing to a smooth mandrelled one will improve the air flow as it would allow the air to flow in a more laminar fashion.

i don't think those ridges on the outside are affected into the inner tube.
need to check it when i get home though. Just my thought.

The stock pipe is pretty good. The diameter of the pipe also changes along its length to change the air velocity before it hits the TB.

Dynojet has a different power loss compared to dyno dynamics.

Using ribbed pipe makes no difference in air flow. Due to boundry air layer the moving air doesn't even come into direct contact with the ribs.

Well Said!!!!!

Will be up-grading to a Toda Big Trottle Body soon to increase the Air - Flow!!!!;)
