As of this morning, my remote fob does not lock and unlock my car properly. When I press lock, all doord except the drivers lock, and the same happens when I unlock. Indicators do not flash unless I manually put the key into the drivers door and lock/unlock. I have checked the remote for a weak battery but its good. Also, once inside the car, when I press the lock/unlock switch on the power window/mirror control panel, the drivers lock does not respond, but the other doors do?
Any ideas?

The power lock actuator in the driver's side door has died. Time to replace it. Not cheap.

i was quoted 175. its not cheap cause it comes with the door lock aswell as the actuator.

Mine makes like a groaning noise occasionally, but It didn't do it when I took my car to the dealer. Normally happens when I press the switch to lock the doors.

Does $175 include labour? If it does, that's cheap. Where did you get that quote from?

Thanks for the advice, just called local honda dealer:
Actuator: $190
Labour: $95
Also called some of my commons honda spare parts places and nobody seems to have a euro or accord door with the actuator still in place?

Theres another thread on this. My 2005 had the fault 4 weeks ago and was fixed under extended warranty. Sounds like a common fault after 3 years or so.

Has anyone with this problem tried aftermarket alarm installers.

Thats a good point. I will give it a try. I had an aftermarket alarm installed a few weeks before i had the problem, maybe he could either fix the problem or it could be linked to the alarm. Will give it a try.
