you sure the slave cylinders out? usually its the master cylinders which go bung afaik
the clutch master cylinder is <$80 so theres not much of a point to get it rebuilt when you can just bolt up a new unit

buy them new at Southside Honda for under $150 with tax included, install yourself or pay $117hr there, it's a 1.5hr job I was quoted, still have yet to fit mine lol, been lazy and the liquid from the reserve hasnt gone down to low in over 4months since I saw it at low.

When you come by mine for oil I'll have a look at it see how bad it is

1.5hr job, your kidding... Slave cylinder take 20mins and the master takes 30mins

For an mechanic, this will be a piece of cake, less than 30mins for them

Why buy new when you can get rebuild kits and just redo them yourself for much cheaper.

link to the rebuild kits??? or is it a Honda part number?

tinkerbell.
call up your local honda dealership and they should know the rebuild kit part numbers for you.
i would tell you, but i ain't at work.
hahaha.
personally, i just love changing things, i think the rebuild kit will set you back approx $30 or so.
but to buy both brand new is $140.

Would the rebuild kid be as reliable as new?

Hey guy's i did this change on my eg recently with a rebuild kit.. now i used a master cylinder housing bought from wreckers with only new rubbers and spring. MISTAKE! the bastard still leaked, because the cylinder must have been bored out somehow over the years and was worse than my original one.. but i got it refunded and only lost time out
of all this. Went for a drive down Footscray (Vic) bought a Taiwanese one. (same specs)
used rubber kit and installed it. took like an hour and presto.

Basically...
Jobs fiddly but not difficult if you are patient and somewhat cluey.
I recommend 2 people as bleeding is easier.
DON'T waste money on mechanics.
Buy original only if absolutely necessary.

Check for aftermarket ones.

I bought a PBR slave for my silvia for $19.95, took more time to jack up the car than to change it
