my mate had his done on his dc5r a while ago.. not to sure what price he paid for it.. it looks all good but it wasnt really practical.. when you open the door it creeks sometimes and also the door opens half wide when opening normally.. so if your fat squeeze in.. but it might be different with other scissor door kits..

If you do shows then sure. For daily I wouldn't do it.

Post pictures after you have got them. I wanna see what they are like on a DC5R

To be perfectly honest, that MAY not be the case. I have seen ALOT of lambo door conversions (however not many no the Dc5). Practicality all comes down to the amount of room in the fenders for the hinges to clear.

The more room = the more the doors can open. Also i would go with a LSD Lambo hinge. Very very good design. Crashed tested and everything (but not recognised in australia). Google it!

I think it looks good. Like i said its gonna b a show car. I heard it costs around $1500 installed. Im too afraid of buying a kit overseas and then finding it doesnt fit!

sounds silly but the good thing about that kit is it works when the windows down....

the cheap ebay ones have weak gas struts however u can get them beefed up its not a problem just more money... but when u open the doors on say a supra and the window is down it wont stay up... the window on a car door is quite heavy on a 2door car... keep that in mind aswell

also when its used a fair bit the hinges wear and dont close properly they will sagg and this is bad when closing the door...

but having said this i love lambo doors and i wana get em for the da9 aswell... hondas r made to have them

i was considering buying some then measuring them up and getting them reproduced locally that way its heaps cheaper to get the doors done...

i found a website there also really good doors ill try dig it up

Yeah they do seem good from that site, but due to the exchange rate at the moment as well as convenience i would prefer to find someone in aus (melb) that could do it or already has the kits. I ordered TODA headers from japan and because of the market crash i have to pay $400 more...gibbed! :(
