The ongoing saga continues with my 2004 Automatic 167,000km Euro.

I suspect it has something to do with the transmission ?
The transmission oil hasnt been replaced in probably 30,000km.
I also know the car being this age, requires the fuel filter to be replaced.

Anyways, what we (driver and passenger) feel in the car is described as a resistance to move forward.
This feeling only happens when the 10-20% of the accelerator is applied.
I can only describe it as a chugging feeling where its almost like the front tyres are egged.

It has "stalled" 4 times in the past two weeks.

27/08 = 3 hours before my road trip to Melbourne.
Going 60km/h slight throttle.. chugg.. chugg car goes into limp mode, check engine light, battery, vsa, traction lights illuminate on the dash, car slows down.
I stop the car, try to restart, fail. Wait 30 secs and all is normal again.

30/08 = After a 2000km round trip to Melbourne and back the car stalls at a set of traffic lights 2kms from home.
This time the car went into limp mode from a standstill.

04/09 = Driving on M4 110km/h severe chugg ... chugg, car slows down. I pull over and the car restarts fine.

10/09 = Driving 60km/h slight chugg... chugg, car goes into limp mode. Restarts first go.

I doubt anyone else has experienced this issue, hope all the other owners of the older 2003/2004 cars arent going through what i am.

I have just joined the forum... recently purchased my first ever Honda. It's the Luxury Navi 08 model.

I have been trawling through the forum but unable to find any of the following... so would be great if someone can point me in the right direction:

1.) Is there a mute button for the stereo? Can't find one and seems strange that there would not be a mute function (Was expecting this to be on the steering wheel controls)

2.) Speed alert - again thought this was a common function but cannot find it anywhere?

3.) Lastly, I have just received an XCarlink to play iPhone through stereo. Is there a section showing how to dismantle the dash (to remove the stereo)? Very wary of going in blind and damaging some of the internal panels...

Thanks in advance.

Other than the anomalies in points 1 and 2, I am absolutely loving this car!! Will be even better one iPhone is hooked up.

So my Euro's been hit (at a carpark without any cameras etc) in the rear for the 3rd time (and most severely) today and I've decided to take it in to a panel beater to get it fixed. Austral Honda has recommended a guy called "Trent". Not sure if he's freelance or is part of a company, will give him a call first thing tomorrow! Can anyone please recommend any other panel beaters around Brisbane (preferably Southside-ish)?

I recently bought euro for my first car after a long ass search for a white one lol, i had previously bought a mugen lip kit before i got the car thinking i would get a preface lift model but an 06 pop'd up at a pretty good price and it was immaculate so i had to get it. I regretfuly sold the kit because it didnt need it anymore but now i've decided i want the preface lift Euro-R lip instead because it looks alot cleaner, less agressive than the mugen but it doesnt hang so low so im faced with the same problem. I was wondering if the facelift and preface bumpers are interchanable? i did some research and there are a few guys in america who have changed thier bumpers to the face lifted ones but is it possible to do it the other way around as in facelift to pre- facelift? is it a direct change aka bolt on? i know i will need a new grille but thats no biggy, and i dont want the bonnet trim so do i need to change the hood? or can i just keep it?

btw i have a lux so will there be a problem with headlight washers and foggies? thanks guys =]
ahahaha and here are some pics =D

So i finally got my Injen CAI on this week and decided to fit it tonight (friday night) , and thought i would let you all know about my experence with this kit.
I have read everywere that the Injen CAI kit is the bees knees for CL9 and other Hondas, but to be honest i thought the quality of the product was good, very well made and presents well in engine bay but thats about it. The fitment of this product was absolutly shoking, it didnt fit at all. After spending a few hours trying to make it look like it fit was a nightmare, the bottom pipe has a bracket that u secure to bottom of battery tray or there abouts and the bracket is so long that it permently rubs on gaurd lining, only a matter of time till theres a hole there just a few inches from my tyre!
Secondly the filter is permently rubbing on steel and had to mounted **** eyed to avoid this, the top breather arangment is crap and also has to be mounted **** eyed to be lined up.
The top mount where the bracket bolts to the battery clamp looks crappy and also doesnt line up, your battery clamp bolts are now on a lean and ya clamp is crooked!!!

As this was advised to me to be the best product to buy for my car i was extreamly dissapointed and would not reccomend it to anyone! If your saving your money to buy one of these kits, forget about it, go to performance workshop and get a custom one made, it would cost u same if not cheaper and would fit a hell of a lot better and u wont be having the dramas of fitting it yourself and stress about it lining up. I also have bought one of these kits for my FN2R and there is noway that im going to be fitting it, the only reason its still attached to accord is im to lazy to remove as fitting was a major job!!

1 Unhappy Customer
