Just wanted to know if anyone knows of anyone who's done a RWD conversion to a Type-R?
I know they are the best handling FWD cars going around, but it has always got me wondering what a RWD Type-R would handle like.
What's the cost involved...

just...dont...even...start thinking about it.
Tegs are FWD- entirely made to be FWD ( with the exception of a AWD variant in japan) - IM SURE yuo COUDL put in a big 9 inch diff in the rear , and link a drive shaft thru via a coupling system etc- but why ?
ANYTHING can be accomplished as long as u have plenty of money !
Anything is possible. However, apart from the fact that you would own a RWD DC2 ITR, it'd more than likely be terrible. Its the same when people ask about AWD CRX's - Why? They're fun because they're light, weighing them down is just a pain in the ass.
Why the hell would you do that? Other than ruining the weight distribution etc thatt makes an ITR an awesome handler.
Stupid question really.
Isnt a RWD Type R integra badged as a S2000 ? :D
but anyway, i have seen a CRX with a C30A in the rear to make it a MR setup. Yes only in America and only at the NOPI Nats ;)
Setanta - relax puto, it was just a question.
I was relaxed - you should see me when I'm uptight :P
some of us have :twisted:Quote:

YOu'd need a custom diff made up as the ITR has a transversally mounted engine. Not mention a slight loss in power through the tailshafts and new diff. North worth it IMHO. The ITR handles so well in its FWD configuration that little is to be gained by converting it to RWD.
As for the 200SX, similar story there (IE the engines mounted position).
It would be a waste of both time and money.
I was joking =pQuote:
