yes the JDM si had the ZC (D16a8)
nice little car
ooh really? is that like the mugen civic in gt4? how does it handle, given its sussy set up? and how hard would it be to perform such a swap????
if u got an ED (89) or sumthing before that then ill hook u up with all the bits and peices its a jdm crx (ZC) full conversion this can beat a d16y with ease as my old one with some cheap HIE i was playing with my friends eg vti like a cat with a ball of string LOL
ED had a D15B4 for AUDM
Thats the browntop ZC (D16A3)... 10 or so horsies down on power from the blacktop ZC (D16A8/9)
okay. so could the d16a8 fit in?
oh, and proecu i've been reading up on that link you posted above to endyn... wow there is some really awesome stuff there. i've always liked the idea of a supercharger, and they are achieving decent efficiency... can that be done here too? who has the know how?
cheers
yeh i also saw that add, good price for a top little car. apparently only the brown top zc from that model civic or from the 87-88 integra (popup lights) bolt in. whereas later model zc's need work, im guessing mounts.

thx egads! ;)
they are the AF/AS models.
Depending on year of production the AF models usually came with two motors EW2 and EW5. EW2 was carburated SOHC 1.5, EW5 was EFi SOHC 1.5. the AS models which came out in 84 were also fitted with a D16A3 or browntop ZC. In 85/86 came the GL/Si - which was purely a ZC - possibly even a blacktop.
Yes - D16A8 will fit if the car came with a D16A3. If EW motor - you need to play around with engine mounts, possibly with Efi if the EW2 series.
the one you posted comes with a ZC - so thats a bonus.
Hope this helps?
yeah it is! thx! just gettin my knowledge up, plus looking at possible future plans if i ever get enough money. :(
dont worry to much about the engine as those civics dont need much power to go nuts. trusts me i used to own one with a d15 carbie
