Espelir springs
Anyone with any experience with espelir springs? ive heard little about them but what ive heard seems to be good news.
Or if anyone has any recommendations for any particular brand that would be great. Japanese brands only (cuz im in japan)... im looking for comfort more than handling, and a minimal drop (30-35mm)
-
This is for an Accord, right?
Cant help you on comfort... Personally i'm looking out for a second hand airbag setup because i'm sick of the harsh ride :/
-
yeah this is for the accord... i am sick of the huge gap between the wheel arches and the tyres.
anyone got a stock accord with stock wheels willing to measure the gap between the wheel arch and the tyres front and back?? i wanna know how much space i got left if i change my springs to espelirs.
i aint got my car on me at the moment obviously...

I dont have a link, but i asked the same question a while ago on the Accord forum, and someone measured for me. Sorry i cant be more help, but you could search!
-
i cant find this post u talked about. u mentioned a lot of stuff about sus and springs but no numbers about the actual gap between the wheel arch and the top of the tyre!!
-
Haha... Hangon, let me have a look...

Ok, this is the page:
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...&highlight=Low
38cm at the back, 41cm at the front - measured from the centre of the wheel to the top of the arch
Oh wait, you want gap... Well, i have 2 fingers at front and 0 fingers at the rear, and i am 8.5cm lower than that. So i guess the gap on a stock car might be 7-8cm at the rear, and 10-11cm at the front (stock has larger wheels than me)
-
cheers for that...
so if i get some espelirs that lower the front by 45mm and back by 35mm it should still be legal...
-
you can try OBK, RS-R, KGMM
all made in Japan. KGMM and RSR is pretty famous over in Jap
-
Yeah, will be legal, but wont look very low though - there will still be fender gap (that should be outlawed i think...)
-
rsr dont make for cd5 accord!

While you are there, check out the Inspection bodykit for accord wagons. Would look sweet on a sedan too (rear bumper may need modification though)
