I don't think there is one in Australia best bet is to join up a motorbike forum or we should start a all bike forum LOL
who here has an aprilla ? tested a RS 125 the other day and 2 stroke is fun :)
1st gear is really good ...but ye 250's r better :P (2 mates of mine have em) they r very sexy and feel like a big bike
those 125 sound like weed wackers....
they technically are....with a gearbox attached lol.
But power wise they (depending on gearing) will make the same power as double the capacity 4 stroke engine. Feels the same as a cbrr to me , less chance of being thrashed by 30 learners beforehand too lol
lolz got a 07 125rs the ok looks good gos ok
yes the sound like shit !
btw anyone noe where or how to service these this
whats good oils etc
be very wary of 2nd had 2 strokes lol.....rebuilds can be almost every yearlol
I've got an 06 RS125..
a lot more fun than my 07 VTR 250 :D
yeah, it requires more attention.. but its the case of you put more in and you'll get a lot more out of it. It loves when you trash it :p
mine is a stock derestricted model.. makes about 28-30hp (yet to dyno)
The guy I bought it from gave me an Arrow exhaust chamber, just need to order a matching muffler and a new jet to suit. It sounds great I think, more so when the exhaust valve opens up
It does require rebuild every 20,000 kms or so, maybe more often if you don't take care of it. Based on my research, its around $400 in parts (that's including new barrel, piston, bearings and gasket set). Also, 2 stroke engine is very simple, so if you are quite handy with tools, all you need is one half afternoon and a workshop manual..
oh, did I say it loves to be trashed.. :D
