cluster problem on ek
hey, I recently bought a '96 ek Vtir. I got it at around 75,890 kms. The reading of the kms were straight. I thought would the kms be winded back but the condition of the car is clean, interior, exterior and engine bay. Today it just turned 76,000 . All the numbers were straight except for the 6. Do I have to drive around for a bit first or it's winded back?
Thanks guys.

open the cluster up and wiggle the numbers around it might have been winded back or someone has fiddled with it
-
What happens if I wiggle it? Does it go back straight? Do I look for anythin specific?
-
the numbers may seem a little loose if they've been tampered with. cant say for sure, im just guessing?
-
yeah just winggle it as saikou27 said it might have been tampered with thats why the numbers are a touch wonky you might not notice it but its a little crooked, thats what happens if its been winded back or tampered with and they dont know how to put it back, so iwggle it and try it

worst comes to worst i suppose u could just take it a honda dealer to look at it?

Then they should be able to inform you of there history/knowledge of the car.
Hope for the OP's sake that its authentic K's
