Well, if it's anything like the Injen CAI for the DC5, the pod sits facing the front where the brake ducts are, so technically the dirt and water would only be splashing onto the pipe?
If it's facing the wheel, then you'll just have to clean/change your filter more often.
yeah i have a CAI.. its going to suck in water when it rains.. get yourself a HyroShield..from ebay..
how low is ur pod sitting to the ground?
it will get dirty quickly ...
and its not the best having it exposed if a cop trys to see where the pod sits ..
but aslong as you dont saturate the pod in a puddle of water and then throttle ..
should be fine..
if your scared of this ... the cheapest solution is a hydroshield .. which works as a sock for the pod.
very low.. same position as ur... get a HyroShield...
picsss
i have a vtir with a cai aswel.. with no splash guard it sits inbetween the right front wheel and the bar. it hardly gets dirty and no water gets sucked up either. the plastic under guards are enuff for protection, water only splashes on the pipe
yeah i drove in the rain 2day and got home and felt it, felt abit of water on it my cuz sed dont do it cause it will suck up water even if it was covered =/
took this pic of nato but mines sitting the same as the 1 in this pic and its missing that gaurd

drive it over heavy rained puddles and its GG david lol. really suggest finding a splash guard, think of the damage vs cost for a sg
which wreckers can i go to get 1 ?
