DC5 type s 0-100 times
Hey guys does anyone know the 0-100 times for the type s or even the DC2 and DC5 type r's? ive been searching for months all over OZ Honda and the internet and cant find any sortove official times i've read anywhere from 6.3 to high sevens, any one got some hard evidence somewhere.
-
yeah i read somewhere awhile back somewhere in between those times.
-
type s only comes in manual
-
lol yea i know thats wat i keep reading as well but theres a big diff between 6.3 and 7.9
-
you've got a type s, go out there and test run it with a stop watch.
-
haha yea i did i was getting bout 6.5 but found it hard to believe,, maybe it really is that quick..:D
-
I've read a test (Speed magazine maybe) comparing DC2R vs DC5R vs DC5S, they all were very even at about 6.9 if i recall correctly.
-
6.5??? really? stock and not on a massive down hill or anything right?
and obviously shifting at redline?
maybe i shud try it out...
-
yeah man i never got no more than 7 seconds, thats with a perfect launch and hard hard shifting

Differance between say a car magazine and yourself is that a car magazine would be using a proper timing device that would have next to no margin of error (IE It'll start timing from 0.1km/h and stop timing at 100km/h).
You on the other hand, would be using a stop watch, your eyes and your hand. Or even if you are getting a friend to do it for you, they would be sitting at an angel to the speedo, so wouldn't see it correctly, and are probably pressing it at like 90km/h... and yes if you are in the right gear at high revs it goes from 90-100 VERY quickly.
I have an Apexi RSM in my car, and it has the ability to time XXKm/H - XXKm/H... so I'll try and do a test.
But 6.7-7 sounds about right anyway.
-
it would be around the 7sec mark for sure
-
i done it with a stop watch in my car and a mate timing and we got 6.55 sec! but prob a bit dodgy though?
