Car issues
So, I've been having dramas with my Civic..
The car runs fine if the revs are 2200 >
anything below that, it sounds like the spark plug is out, or it's backfiring way off.. (I'm guessing its the sparkys)
I changed the leads, im trying to get the spark plugs out but none of my sockets are thing enough to go into the damn cylinder.. or not long enough.
What size socket am I suppose to use??
The standard ones don't fit at all..
Thanks

Take it to a mechanic and give them the sparks to swap over for $5.
Or you can buy a spark plug attachment tool for pretty cheap.
-
Car is not running atm....
The head doesn't fit and the length isn't right, the width of socket is bigger then the cyclinder..
-
if you have the standard tool kit for the civic....there is a spark plug socket in there to use. Otherwise you can pick the tool at supercheap auto ro repco for very cheap
-
Hmm, not sure if this one has it. Not home atm, if it in the boot you think or?
I picked one up from supercheap and it didnt fit >_>
-
it should be in teh boot , in the spare wheel well. Wrapped up in a leather or cloth pack. Bring over the car before wed and ill swap em for ya for a handshake.
-
Yeah I'll take a look, lol..
I swapped the leads over, one of them where ****ed.. but car won't start >_<..
I'll check tomorrow morning, maybe I have the tools..
If I can figure out a way to start the damn thing I could bring it by lol..
Handshake ftw

Got the sparkys out, looks like the 2nd cylinder is filled with oil...
Is it completely f**** or?
-
-
could be the piston ring.
the car blowing smoke?
-
no smoke at all.
:/
edit - I changed the spark plugs, and the leads.. car won't start..
edit edit - got a mate whose a mobile auto electrician to have a look, rekons it's either head flooded or timing belt.. all electrical fine, distributor fine etc.
All spark plugs drenched in petrol.
Now awaiting benji's day off haha.
