ef/ed brake upgrade

hey guys im looking into upgrading my brakes in my crx and rite now ive got type r calipers on it and 262 rotors and i wanna put 282 rotors on it i knw that the calipers rear bolt holes dnt line up on the ef hub. so wat hub can i use that accomidate 4x100 and the bolts line up on the rear. And aslo will i still have to constantly maintain the pads by sanding it dwn to make them fit?

Using the DA9 front uprights will allow you to run 282mm rotors and Accord Wagon/Prelude VTiR calipers (which are the same as TypeR) but you have to shave a couple mm off the brake bracket (which is not difficult) and redrill the discs to 4x100 (again, easy). Big brake setup done!

thanks mate ur a champ so just use da front hubs. just wondering is there any alternative ones i can use i heard prelude can be used

No idea. On the ED6 stick with the DA9 spindles and hubs. They are as close as you can get to allow the upgrade and not change the suspension setup.

Find a DA9. Grab the upright/spindle. You don't need the UCA.

Get DBA rotor DBA200.

These are for the Prelude VTi-R and you will have to get them redrilled to 4 x 100. Grab Accord Wagon calipers or Prelude ones. They are marked with a 25T caliper bracket and have some letters/numbers stamped on them. Get the ones marked "15" not the more common "14".

You will have to trim the caliper bracket to centre the rotor on the hub. About 3mm does it OK. Mine aren't perfectly centred but they're well clear.

You should also grab the DA brake booster and brake master cylinder, and probably the Prop Valve (4040) to allow for the increase in braking power.

u need DA9/EF8/EF9 hub.....they all come with 262 brake setup...282 disc and caliper will bolt on them!

Last photo in the previous post has 15" wheels. I think it depends on the offset. I have 17s and there is heaps of room. But, again, it depends on the wheels.

yeah....peter...
as i know the smallest rim u can go is 14 inch for 262mm brake setup, and 15inch for 282mm setup.
