i poured about 4litres to crv 2005 sports. did i over top it or is it alrite.?

Oil filter change too???
4 is fine for now, but I don't think will be enough. Start the car for a minute, get the oil circulating so it fills the new oil filter. Shut if off and measure with the dipstick after 5 mins. Top it up to suit.

ye i dont have the servicing book with me. the crv and civic dipsticks are different so thats why

lolz. when i drained out the oil it came out as 5 litres.hmm
usually take bout 4 to 4.5 litres.
just look for indication on dipstick and top to suit, should be fine
bit off topic but whenever i service my car its a 2litre but im using like 4L or just bit over why is it like that??

The 2L is the engine capacity which is the size of the combustion cylinders. It affects torque and also partially affects power.
The 4L of oil is the sump capacity, which is the volume of oil that is required in the sump so that the oil pump can suck it up and distribute it throughout the engine for protection.
