pulled out my pads for a routine check the other day
passenger outer; 7mm meat left
passenger inner; 7mm meat left
driver outer; 2mm meat left
driver inner; 7mm meat left
what would be the reason that one pad would wear faster than the rest?
wear seemed to be even across the pad itself, just much faster than the rest of the pads
running unmodified 98spec itr caliper/brackets
all appears centered and the hub/rotor appears to not be affected by the pads when rotated by hand
possible the driver outer caliper requires a rebuild, it may be sticking.

the itr calipers has a single large piston on the inside
the outer pad sits there and is pulled inwards
if the piston was sticking i'd have smoke pouring out of the fender and it'd pull right as far as i know
might have to pull out the slider pins and regrease them, anyone agree?
just a possible suggestion, throwing it out there
also maybe its the brake pressure, one side is greater than the other side. needs to be readjusted if it is.
yeah that's the thing though
i get one pad wearing faster, but not so excessively
especially the outside pad, usually it's the inside since it gets moved by the caliper
will buy some brake caliper grease today and regrease the pins, see if it needs it or not
Have you regreased the caliper pins with good high temperature lithium grease? If you don't clean the old grease off and regrease it with each pad change, the outside part of the caliper can get stuck and apply pressure to the outer pad even after you release the pedal. If the inner pad is worn, then the piston is sticking and needs a rebuild.

all appears ordinary strangely enough
pins were free but i re-greased them anyway
