its pretty common to have it done that low.
but i reckon its farkin impracticle...
is ur 96 the 5th gen? if its a 5th gen, they r low from factory, so 3in is hella low.
i think its the 5th, is the 5th with the 4 piece tail lights, at the moment it looks fairly 4by
yeh, the same one as poids.
i think he's done his 3in drop aswell, with 18's i believe? or only 17's? i dunno. lol.
lol your asking for a "few" scrapes here and there :D post sum pics when ur done lol
i reckon 3 inch would be too much.... 2 - 2.5 max i reckon!!
meh..my 2c!
Mine's dropped 2.5" all round, 3" is nice if the springs are stiff enough and you're prepared to drive very careful and take some scraping (gonna drop the front another 1/2 inch soonish) but i wouldnt drop the rear more than the front, the rear already looks slightly lower when dropping it by the same amount all round.
Hope the springs arent soft man, if they are you'll be in a world of hurt :D
And yeh 18's calvo, 17's are too small on a 5th gen :P
EDIT: i did have 3" lowered springs by the way, they were no where near hard enough and the car was basically undrivable...so i went with a 2.5" lowered much stiffer compromise
oh well if its too low ill just sell it either too someone who wants them or an idot like me.. ....... ive heard that you can get the springs streach out a bit is this true
i hope youve got lowered shocks to match..
or youll have a head-ache everytime you step out of your car!
haha join the group man
mine is lowered 3 inch 3 1/2 i think
i am not really sure but mine is very low atm..
ohh wells.. its not too bad.. just the ride is very very stiff and abnormal
anywayz enjoy the low ride
:D
Ken
yes indeed, you need some shocks...they dont necessarily need to be shortened, my stock length koni's do the trick (though that is with the stiff springs and Koni progressive rate bumpstops)Quote:
