The cost isn't warented against the returns.
Mase Kit > Stroker Kit.
toda 2.35 stroker is around $8500 for the bottom end
toda 2.4 stroker is around $11000 for the bottom end
adrian from toda was saying there is a 1mm or 2mm difference in stroke between the 2.35 and 2.4 cranks and thats why there is the difference in price. cant remember what he said about power difference, as it was about 4 or 5 months ago i spoke to him about it, tho i doubt it would be noticable.
not sure how much other stroker kits cost.
you also have to allow for cams, oil pump, machining etc
i was going to do a 2.2 stroker kit build before all toda parts, with itbs cams etc. the kit itself you need to get 87.5 pistons so you dont need to sleeve the block you need head work and cams spec A is enough they reckon spec b or c is overkill
We can sort you out there.
LOL... I need a translator.... A mase what?
2.35L kit current pricing is $6600 - delivered incl GST
& the 2.4L kit is $10,550 - delivered incl GST
2.4L kit uses a special billet crankshaft.
The 2.35kit uses a modified OEM forged crankshaft.
And yet B's & C's work...
The key is combination... Should be a mantra
From your perspective yes, you're right.
But from someone else's perspective the product is good value...
It's just not for you.
Wow thanks for the replies! Kinda opended my eyes in the price range area haha. TODA whats the power difference like from the 2.35l to the 2.4l? Is it something noticable? and does anyone know of any "problems" stroking an f20c can lead to? Like i've heard of alot of troubles with f/i which has steered me clear of f/i and wanting to stay n/a..
Seriously $10K+ with minor power increases. Spend your money on light weight parts and part removal. Power:Weight works and you'll still retain the factory reliability.
Lotus live by this rule, and put simply it works.
you can use a crankshaft from a k24. There is some info on the internet.

Two of the guys up here in QLD are stroked.
One is a 2.5L stroker with a turbo bolted on for good measure.
The other is a 2.4L stroker. On a casual mountain run, I was behind him, and I'd say we were relatively equal in terms of torque. Don't ask me about HP because it was a casual mountain drive, hardly any time to stretch the legs of the F20.
