Rate Your Rubber
Hey guys... i had a thought... everyone is always asking... 'OMG WHAT RUBBER DO I GETS OMG WOOT WHOA....'
so i thought .. why not make a sticky or a thread where everyone who has had a brand of rubber rate it and say the pros and cons... and price =D
would be a good thing for people who want to research tyre rubber =D

Type - Toyo Proxes 4
Size -225/40 ZR18
Price - $800 for all 4 installed and balance
Time frame you have had them - About 1 year and abit now
Thoughts on the Rubber - they are nice... not much road noise and smooth grip is great on the wet they are nice too really good tread pattern =D
only thing now they are old and low on tread rears have bad wear on the inside of the wheel and im actually looking at replacement but i might even stick with the ol Proxes =D

Thoughts - Super quiet, soft, grippy. Generally excellent.

I got C-Drives on the Euro and love em. They were $300+ per tyre but will buy em again in an instant. That's on the standard 16" rims.
Type - Yoko CDrives
Size - 215/50R16
Price - $320 each
Life span - 18 -24 months (wife driving, not mine ;)
Thoughts - Excellent and will buy them again when need be. Great around corners and excellent wet grip.

Time frame.15 mths.
Thoughts.Quiet,excellent wet and dry grip,comfy(i run 40 PSI in them),bit overpriced i think,wear quicker than the contact 2s.

Thoughts: grippy, comfortable, quiet and surprising soft

Thoughts on the Rubber - Great street tyre for the price. Not the grippiest but great grip per dollar. Been to Wakefield twice and still going strong. I have a second set on my spare rims in storage. :)
