Feels like Castrol 5W30 you mean?
But at least Honda FEO Rs are cheaper
I've heard my fd in US that Castrol have oil burning issue on Vtec, anyone had experienced that?
so is this new? wat diff is it to the FEO? more info would be good... :D
I think it's not new....... not sure...... i just thought it's the one which highly recommend by Honda for the Type-R's........ I've using it for 15000km and the engine runs VERY smooth and quiet, and hmm...... don't compare it with Mobil 1 or Motul 300v cos it's different thing :)Quote:

10w30 semi-synthetic?
semi?? isnt it better if it was full??
I saw it at the dealer yesterday
$27.xx for how many litres?
i saw it at dealer here in melb 2 weeks ago, wouldnt be surprised if places like hondwreck have a few litres on them
they did a test a while back on a whole bunch of oils..
Tested it on an Integra.
That Honda stuff was one of 15-20 oils tested.. Overall it came second last, just avoiding last place who was taken by standard shell helix mineral oil u can buy at woolies for $15!! ($12 when on sale!!)
The top 5 winners were;
Castrol R 10-60W
Mobil 1 0-30W
Mobil One 5-50W
Royal Purple 10-60W
Amsoil
(All Synthetic..)
If you have a revvin machine or turbo, dont settle for anything less than synthetic.. YOu get what you pay for, and for only $50-60 for 5L, its well worth the $$$$
I recommend Castrol 10-60W or Mobil One 10-60W and most ppl here would agree.. Dont buy the 0-30 stuff coz the aussie weather is too hot for it!!
my 2cents
60W oils are a bit thick for low capacity highreving NA cars. great for wear but you'll suffer a bit with performance.
the lighter oils such as the castrol R 5W 30 are too thin for the hot summers but are great during winter, especially on those super cold mornings
