some 95s, such as bp have ethanol in them

change your fuel filter, how is your oil/level of oil

When is it starting to ping in the rev range?

ive used shell Bp united all types of fuel and fuel filters new
and not sure where abouts its starting it dosent ping all the timeit be around 4 ish id say dose it the most up hills

sure it's not tappet noise? may need adjustment

What is timing set at on idle? And no bent valves won't cause it to ping..

BTW are you sure it is pinging for starters? example. does it sound like a tin can with coins inside shaking.. thats the closes example of pinging noise i can do..

I would be looking into the igniton side of things.
