As you can see, the collar is actually widening from the load of the car and will eventually break.

nasty
prob bought from ebay....lots of shit on there like that. "only $100 for coilovers!!! Genuine and guarenteed to be the best"
BULLSHIT! nothing good comes cheap
Ive used them b4 and found them quite good for the street. Just a cheap altnernative. But i would never take it to the track. Nothing was wrong with mine when i sold if after years being dropped 4 inches.
How old is that one?
I don't like coil overs. Imagine the spring rate you have at max height is the same as when your dropped, Doesn't sound good also every time you adjust the height you will need to align your wheels.:thumbdwn:
what brand is that btw
soft aluminium :(
need a good alloy or steel sleeves!
Once again, Ebay goodies :thumbdwn: Its a good and cheap alternative for show cars or if you're not gonna thrash ur car. Yet if you're a 24/7 vtec-er its goin to break.
Ahh, glad someone has pics. I have seen then break before, it is is NOT pretty.
installed wrong anyways
