misfire from 6000rpm during cold engine.

HI ,
Today,i had the experience of twice misfire from 1st to 2nd gear during cold engine which i did not experience before i had the plugs change over last week end.I am using the same NGK platinum brand.
The old plugs were changed at 29,000km and thought it was driving rough at times jerky and naturally had black tips .Though the new plugs are much smoother in revs and acceleration but its something new to me with twice misfire from 6000revs.It was alright once the engines warm up hitting past 6000 to 8000 revs.Its that consider normal or should i look into other areas again eg,making sure the coil or rubber housing that clicks and tighten onto the plugs.....

When engine is cold (less than 3bars) it wont let you rev higher than 6000rpm.

Why would you rev it to 6000rpm when its cold?

From my experience, it wont let you rev higher than 6000rpm when engine is cold for obvious reason.
I know how it feels when you just want to vtak it as you jump in the car but be patient & let the engine warm up abit lol...

was abt to say this when i saw the thread title....

cold engine will rev to 7k then limit, once warmed all good, unless your referring to some other problem

I once had this happen although i could probably swear that it was at 5000rpm and my car wasent exactly cold although i had parked it at the car wash and washed the car and it lost 1 bar on the temp guage. I dont usually open up my car until i know it is at the correct running tempreture eg: 3 bars

Thank you guys for the most basic information and yet i need reminding as i have forgotten to drive a non turbo car.Its such a joy driving the honda that i easily get bury into it and forget the basic rules.....cheers again .

Sorry let me get this straight, you actually just jump into a Forced Inducted car and put pedal to the metal while the engine and tires are cold? I find this dangerous in any car not to mention the engine wear your putting these cars through

I had the car for 7weeks and only driven it the first week and the last week as i was away for over a month.Just got too carry away trying to enjoy the vtec 9000revs that i have forgotten to warm-up.Having driven a late mark 5 GTI DSG was quite different in power response and in relation to an naturally aspirated engine.

:O DSG is the shizz! But yeah, it's the normal fuel cut that occurs just before 7,000rpm. If the ECU doesn't think your engine is running "optimal temps" they'll cut the fuel as a safety feature (safety for the engine, not really for the driver lol). It's similar to boost cut in some factory cars running too much boost. Ask me how I know....
