Prelude Speed Sensor

Hi everyone, I had to make a new account because I couldnt remember my old username :(

Anyways.

I have a problem with my prelude :(
The speed sensor is dead. I am getting a Code 17 and my D4 light is also on.

I am having trouble finding this part for cheapish also.

I was just wondering, would a US model speed sensor work in a AUS car.

The ones we see on ebay...

Will they work in my car?

It is a 98 Prelude Si Model Auto.

Also do you know any other model of cars that have a interchangable speed sensor?

say an integra or civic. prelude are harder to find :(

Part no. should be 78410-SV4-003 which fits certain model/year Accords, Civics and Odysseys.

take a photo of your exsising VSS and post it here

Really appreciate everyone for their help. This here is the photo of my speed sensor that is faulty.

So 78410-SV4-003 like I said. Searching on ebay gives: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330349831655 which does list Preludes as compatible (also the other models I listed).

based on your photo's the ebay VSS will fit, I dont see why it would not work either.
