Sorry, a newbie question from me, what are the advantages of each?
Is a combination of slotted and drilled necessairly better than only slotted or only drilled?
Thanks guys! ;)

Are you talking about brake disc?
slotted and drilled work much better at reducing heat from your discs thus better endurance braking…the biggest problem thow unless your disc's are made from very expensive metal or a very expensive brand you will find more cheap slotted and drilled rotors such as dba will crack....which is why some people just go after slotted.
On the other hand get some brimbo slotted and drilled rotors and they will work perfectly every day, but will be 5x the price.

Or you could get Wilwoods. ;)Quote:

You could also get Endless !! a fantastic brand !! things are expensive for a reason.. normally because there GOOD !

You're not wrong... :P
OMG Ben are u planning on gettin sum fooley sick slotted discs on ur next 200sx ? Hmm....
So I've heard drilled may crack, and slotted may decrease the life of the pads prematurely? True?
Ben: Hahaha I'm just learning things :)
dont cheapo ones warp as well under high braking because of the heat or something?
i was under the impression that a lot of the cross drilled rotors where for show purposes ..
and even the dba site states that u should drive hard on those rotors...
my stock dc2 rotors ****ed up due to ART pads ..
and now im using slotted spoon rotors up front .. with stock pads..
i think its enough for my applications =P
Are your discs warped when your brakes vibrate the crap outta the car when slowng down from 200 to 100 or is that another factor ? :?
reducing heat - the more holes/slots in the disc the cooler it gets :D
