Hi OZH,
Not sure about these additives. Has anyone heard of this or have any experience with it ?

Welcome to the forums mate
Sussed it out and then read this and didn't bother with the rest...
"remetallizing treatment" "restores warn parts".....
imo be Skeptical.
so it adheres to metal on a molecular level ? Sounds like - at most - it would cause something similar to calcification and growths or deposits would grow in unwanted places and block paths etc
Thanks - yes , I'm iffy on it. A mate at work is thinking on using it. I told him to be cautious, as it might foul the engine. He said though that there are bus companies in Europe using this stuff in their fleets.
Bus ? How is a loose old cast iron block of a diesel engine anything like a small alloy 1.6 or 1.8 with very tight tolerances ?
bennjamin - well yes, completely different machine. I found a vendor and am mailing him about the use of it in public transport fleets. As I'm curious but skeptical about the claim.
Interesting to see what reply I get.
Yeah update here with what you find. Remember tho - that is a bias opinion !
yes, I know. But when a Public Corp is mentioned it becomes verifiable. So we'll see. I hope this guy replies.
SBS - Singapore haven't replied with anything about the product. Assuming it is of dubious merit.
I received a reply from Singapore advising that they do not use the mentioned product:
Enquiry on the use of oil additive - Metal 5 - product
Please refer to your email of 14 June on the above-mentioned subject
We wish to inform you that we did not use the said product in servicing our bus fleet.
didnt think so.
atleast they bothered to reply tho !
So are these false claims ?
Possibly, I checked SBS and that is the only service I tried, so I cannot say false as such.
!/ The claims I read did not mention specific carriers.
2/ No documented or pictorial proofs etc.
I'd remain doubtful about the product until something solid turns up, but I'm not looking further at this.
And, yes, it was good of them to respond to the query.
