Ask if they have receipts from the shop that did the conversion, and check that the engine is registered to the vehicle. You could also ask for a compression test to check the health of the engine. Otherwise just do a regular inspection.
Is this the one on www.firesport.com.au? Midnight blue one?
Yeah he said it was registered to the car. Nope its a silver one. Compression =) thanks ever would have thought of that lolz would you the pros and cons from changing a gsi to a b18c
There is no cons to changing the motor lol? unless you means cons where you wanna thrash it all the time to hear vtec :P
All pro's.
have you done a conversion ?
yes...
was there anything different from a vtir ? like things that Vtir had and gsi doesnt ? sorry bout the noob question
the main difference that you will notice with the vtir and the gsi will be the motor and i think the front brakes (when it comes to the performace side)
The car should be faily quick! is it a jdm b18c (type R) or like a B18cx (replace the x with a number)
He said its a Jap spec Jdm engine im assuming the SIR ? the engine number is B18C2
no front brakes are the same slight difference in some pad shape but rotors and rears same 262mm front 239mm rears ,
depending on what facelift gsi it will come with or abs, sunroof and passenger side airbag options which is standard on VTiR facelift
prefacelift VTiR has no passenger airbag but abs. also interior cloth pattern is different on either vtir and gsi
also incase you wondering its 1993-1997 Pre-facelift series 1, Late 97-2001 Facelift series 2
thanks for the information very much appreciate it
