Intake Pipe + pod on a carby?

Will it be ok to put a intake on a carby engine or im just gonna waste time and money?

Just ask yourself why?

I think you will need to rejet the engine since it's a carby, increased air flow but the same level of fuel burnt will not improve performance, you may get the engine to sound a bit more grunty but besides that, not much changes.

if you got a dual carby, theres a mod in the diy section

yep. rip out the whole carby system out. just run straight from the throttle body.

my dad does up 2 stroke motorbikes that all run off carbies. and a pod is much better. but it will cause implications.
New larger jets, freed up exhaust.

Is it possible to convert from carby to fuel injected? Don't have time to do engine swap atm.. I'll just find a throttle body?

it is "possible" but you will run into problems.

your engine at the moment runs on probability, ie it takes air in and the air picks up the fuel, then expells the exhaust.
the controll you have over the engine is limited to the size of the jets you have in it/ your exhaust size and other physical components.

but for fuel injection you would require a more advanced system, ie a computer (ECU) to controll how much the injectors push into the motor, the ECU might also need to controll the idle and alot of other things to keep the engine running at its optimum. this is why fuel injection and newer engines are superior to the carby system.

realisticly its not worth getting fuel injection on it because there are so many components that we havent discussed and other i dont know that have to be modified.
the overall cost would be greater then that of the car. unless the car is some kind of classic, but then if it was a classic i would keep the carby set up to maintain originality.
