transmission shudder
I'm carsitting for a friend who is overseas. Drove his auto Jazz today and it has a bad shudder when moving from standstill. Not launching it just taking off normally. Not sure how old the car is but it has 65K on the odo.
Is this a typical Jazz problem?
what's the cause? worn tranny mounts, tranny fluid need replacing?
-
yeh its a common issue.. cvt is bad on the gd3s. u can try replacing the cvt fluid by doing a flush which should work.. but i have the exact same problem, flushed it and still didn't work so u just gota deal with it lol. u can reset the ecu and it will go away but not for long.

i did 2-3 flushes on mine and it was still shuddering, turned out to be an engine mount that needed replacing.. mine was sitting on 40k on the odo
-
how much was the replacement?
-
Engine mounts are cheap done it once for like 80 plus labour
-
yeah something like that, $120 or so all up

You need to flush it twice or three times to really pull all old fluid out (contaminants) well that's what we did ! Two flushes and the transmission is sharp , cold start etc

if the jazz is less then 7 years send it back to honda, they'll cover the transmission fluid flush under special extended warranty for free,
and next time try search first, there is a whole thread on this I even posted the dealer service bulletin number covering this issue.
