I put a deposit down on a EG SI which had a D16A8 but now has a B18C2 from a 94 Integra VTIR. The owner hasn't had an adjustment of records to the blueslip yet for the motor.
Will it be as simple as getting the blueslip adjusted or does anything more need to be done?
Yes its really simple, just need to get blueslip done, then off to rta. You also need proof of receipts for purchase of the motor with the original kms.
But doenst it need engineering cert coz a d16a8 is 1590cc whereas a b18c2 is 1834cc, so its just above 115% of original capacityQuote:

actually now im hearing from a number of guys that if its a eg5 a b18c2 is just blueslip, no engineer cert.

yes eg5 chassis you will be alright. only need a blueslip
i have to get mine engineered since mines a eg4.

you need an "adjustment of records". Go to a mechanic that can do pink slips etc - they will check the engine number and that it is the same as the original reciept for the engine - then update it on the computer. He will send this to the RTA , then the RTA will send you a new rego sticker/details with updated engine number.
