Eastern Creek Upgrade

Eastern Creek has been in the process of building 2 new sections of track for the last 12months or so and the finishing line is in sight.

Thats right 4 different Track configurations

I've been told the new North track has been operating for a while and will be in operation till March. Old GP track will be operating in April and the 2 new track should be online in May.

The New full track adds an extra 8 corners which should favour smaller lighter cars. Cant wait to test out the upgrade in May.

hmmm, look interesting.

i wonder if they would hold 2 track days at one. north and south, like they do at Suzuka.

So besides Wakefield Park, which is a 2 Hour plus drive from Sydney, we are reduced to one circuit with multiple layouts! For that we should be grateful?

well it is better than getting a non upgraded race track.

but yes i wish NSW and VIC get at least 1 more track in each state, but thats a big ask.

Yeah it was a bit of a shit sandwich loosing both Amaroo and Oran park but I reckon the new full track looks awesome. No I couldn't see both the North and South tracks running simultaneously due to safety issue. What does shit me is the cost of a drive day at the Creek and the lack of days compared to somewhere like Wakefield.

Haven't seen it mentioned but there will be a new Driver training/Race track opening up at Wagga Wagga late next year and hopefully a track up Port Stephens way.

I am with jdm-b16a (peter) dispointed with what happen with nsw sydney tracks
But as said above the port shephens up newcastle is look very strong be approve and the go ahead after a long battle to get drag strip on same site but have workout the nosie from drag racing was the cause of knock back and funding from new supporter

But still it 2 hour north from sydney

I heard Geoff Arnold the GM of EC say that they are going to be running 2 track days at a time.

Are you saying 2 track will be operating simultaneously ? cause at the moment they do run 2 track days on the same day. A morning session and an arvo 1.
