This product is particularly suited to European cars and high performance cars that produce excessive brake dust. However we all know that it is very hard to remove brake dust especially after it has been left to ‘corrode’ into the surface of the rims. Acid based cleaners and caustic degreasers do clean your rims well but over time they will deteriorate the clear coat on them, eventually costing you a lot to refurbish or recoat your alloy rims.
Wolf’s Chemicals Decon Gel is a revolutionary iron-dissolving gel that is going to change the way we detail forever. Using it makes cleaning wheels a breeze, because it requires little agitation, and you can let it dry out fully if you wish before rinsing it off. What’s more, its friendly pH neutral formula also means you can use it before using detailing clay to safely remove iron particles and industrial fallout from your exterior bodywork and glass, to reduce further the chance of marring.
For best results: firstly wash and rinse your car. Then spray Wolf’s Chemicals Decon Gel on liberally. Any iron contaminants will dissolve into solution, the initially colourless liquid will gradually turn purple over a period of 5-10 minutes. This effect is often quite pronounced, but don’t panic, because it’s quite normal. Although the Decon Gel is essentially a touchless cleaner, you can agitate it with either a microfibre towel (on bodywork and glass) or a brush (on wheels) if required. After 10-15 minutes, or once the dark purple solution has dried fully (it is perfectly safe to let Decon Gel dry out), thoroughly rinse the surfaces you have treated with a strong stream of water.
