BYP Racing and Yokohama ADVAN wins NSW Time Attack Open Class

After victory at the Vic Time Attack, team BYP headed to Wakefield Park to take on the NSW Time Attack of 2013. The BYP DC2R was given a front-end aero upgrade since Winton and was equipped with brand new 265/35/18 Yokohama Advan A050’s for the event and with forecast for cold, overcast weather, with strong winds and heavy rain expected over the weekend, the team was looking to bank a time early on. Track conditions were cold and slippery to start off day 1, being FWD rear tyre temps were always going to be a challenge with the cold track and showed through couple of spins. Despite that the BYP DC2R sat 2nd in class and 3rd overall after the first session with a time of 1:02.7.
