100% you can be defected, the gauges need to be below the steering wheel
just curious whats the reason for defect?
im guessing its under "safety" but i personally dont see anything wrong with pillar mounted pods. cant be any more dangerous than a professional tweeter install.
you MIGHT be albe to get away with it if it doesnt obstruct view to the road more than the pillar. Obstruction of view is one reason theyre defectable in Vic. If you can hit your head on it in a crash, it protrudes and is likely to hurt you more than the standard pillar, you will have fun times with the po po too.
You'd definitely get defected for that. It's on the wrong side.
