Hey guys,
I've been searching and can't find which final drive comes in the Australian ED6 Civic 5 speed gearboxes. I know that the ZC has a 3.888:1 and the US Si has the 4.2:1. Has anyone checked / know for sure.
Thanks

I pretty sure the ed6 has 4.2 fd these a few thread on here of people who done a hybrid box
3.8 fark must feel groce as fuk
Pretty sure it's the 4.266. Thought it was the same for the ZC too.
Hey mate, I opened up my gearbox today to check the ratios. It was out of a 1988 ED6 hatchback, 21 spline input shaft and it had a 200mm diameter clutch disc on it. Marked L3-1237342. As you can see it has the 4.25 final drive and ratios are identical to the US Si Civic of the same generation.

So I was 0.16 off :(
Nice post though chargeR
+1 for you!!
According to the US sites the ZC DOHC is as below:
3.25
1.944
1.346
1.033
0.878
with the 3.888 FD.
So I can swap the 4.25 fd from my ED6 into my ZC box, nice.

Hey shake
you planning to swap over the FD into your zc box?
should put Mfactory Lsd and low 3.08 first gear
should jump on Mfactory for look
Happy to help. The ZC 1-5 with the ED6 FD looks like a nice combination, I've been thinking of doing that myself.
check out my build thread post #480, I have done this swap and also have a link to a very comprehensive DIY in my thread.
