oh and to my knowledge there is no difference with the exhaust layout between USDM/AUDM/UKDM - open to being corrected on this though.

Pretty much by chance. Private seller in the US. Had some stuff on ebay, saw it in the background lol

That's called a Helmholtz resonator. a stock exhaust has one
