New tyre issues ku36s
Hi all,
Just got new ku36 kumho's for the crx.
Previously had 195 50 tyres, these are 205 50 15s.
When i take a corner with a bit of gusto the back touches the wheel arch with a squeak.
Have attached a couple pics.
So, will a quick fix be to put in stnd springs for a but more clearance? Will rolled guards help or will i need different offset wheels?
Has anyone else had this issue with 205s on an ed9??http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...3eba3a19c3.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...9f71830df2.jpghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...6ede7e22a7.jpg

Roll your fenders or change tyres.
-
its scrubbing/touching
life will go on. roll your guards a bit to give it more room if it bothers you that much
-
just fold the guard lip flat with your fingers or use a rubber mallet and gingerly massage them
if its just a wee squeak then its most likely barely touching
-
Reason i ask is I'm heading to the hill climb next weekend at haunted hills near morwell with the mr2 club. And dont want it to ruin the tyres on hard cornering
-
you will definately ruin them - go get fenders rolled
-
You're all wrong.
hektik camber is the answer.

Is there much if any adjustment that can be made with stock rear suspension?, ive only got tein springs and adjustable shocks (stiffnes not ride height)
-
-
prob just need to adjust the suspense, had the same problem when i was starting to run with 205/50/15

As above roll guards is first thing you need to do
Some negative camber on rear to reduce contact with guards
Also Check your rear trailing arm bushes as they could have gone soft or floaty in the rear

Thanks, how much adjustment can you make to the stock suspension for camber?
