So, my ed9 has the sir b16a converted to obd1 in it and thus the old type of map sensor on the firewall with vac lines to the tb.
Im thinking of getting itbs in the near future, can i retain that map or will i need to update to the newer kind? If so, whats involved?
ITB's will not support the newer map sensor so in fact you at an advantage by having the firewall mount MAP.
You should add a vacuum chamber such as the type used for IAB on B18C2 as ITB's do not offer a lot of vacuum at low to no engine load.
