ummm.... put ur seatbelt on before u start ur engine
umm im pretty sure that its to do with alerting you your seatbelt isnt on yet..
hehe, yeah its annoying, but its the seat belt warning chime....
if u want to disable that, just look under the driver seats for a wire.. unplug it.Quote:

Just connect the seat belt before turning the engine on or to the on position, won't chime, or connect the belt before the chimes stop will stop the chime also - in short it will stop chiming if the seat belt is connected :D ..
to confuse them more, turn the lights on to park with out them noticing and when the engine is switched off it will give a long drawn out chime warnign the head lights are still on :D :D
the beeping is sure the set belt alert, but i was recommended to turn the key to the point where the power is running throught the stero or wat ever, then start the car but i cant remember by doing that, wat it will benifit. But im sure if the manchanics say that there is a reason.
haha - my dads telstar has this annoying Boing, Boing, Boing noice when you insert the key into the ignition and have door open - its soooo fkn annoying...
the civic chime doesn't bother me - if just goes off after a while and its good.
All I can think of its to fire all the electricals up ready for the load, but I've been told that leaving the ignition in the on position for too long may fry the coil/s. But you should also not start or stop the car with the stereo on as you can prematurely kill that to, so meh, engine starts everything works then no reason to worry, I've never had any mechanic come to me and say its broke because you don't start it properly.... :honda:Quote:
