EG6 rebuild scheme in QLD able to be registered in NSW ?!

hi guys
i am looking at buying the eg6 with k20a on carsales
just wondering am i able to register the car in NSW if its a rebuild scheme in QLD ? i was told you cant

As usual, NSW gets the shaft.

go to byp and ask for the "Vietnamese Special"

they will cut off a EG5 VIN and pop it on for you
