Hazard Light Switch Bulb

The other day my partner and I had to use the hazard lights after pulling over on a highway during a drive home. It was dark so we pulled over and the first thing I did was to put on the hazard lights. Searching in the dark and with only with the dashboard lights on, I couldn't find the hazard light switch. It was only after turning on the interior light that I could see the switch. I can't remember if the hazard light switch is illuminated or not. If it is how do I replace the bulb? Do I need to take it to a dealership or mechanic to get it replaced?
