[EURO] SOLUTION for installing cusco typeII lower arm bar

hi all... since the cusco typeII lower arm bar does not fully fit aust euro.
( the heat shield around the catalytic converter was striking the rear member of the bar ) for more info.. http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19574

just wanna share wat i did to slove this problem. :)
i just took off the heat shield..... then cut off a bit the rear area of heat shield. now they are not touching each other anymore... :D

How do you cut it so neatly??

your's look like a professional job compare to Matell's backyard special ( LOL no offence Matt!)

I just took off the bottom half of the heat sheid completely.

I done the same thing..

very nice job learner. Many exhaust professionals would be envious of how clean a job you did.

You do realise that cutting the heatshield can affect your emissions ;)

yea... i am pretty happy the outcome...
i just use the saw and a "thing"... (i dunno wat tat thing call)...
tat thing is to smooth the edge.

think cutting a bit of the heat shield is better than just took the whole thing off.

Wow, that's a really nice and neat job!. Well done. Wish I'd thought of pulling out a hacksaw before I hit it with the old backyard special (no offence taken Steve) angle grinder! hahahaha. I mutilated that sucker!......And yet I still need to remove more because I was impatient and didn't mark mine up properly....tsk, tsk to me. As a result I'm still running around without the lower heatshield.

Actually last week when I had my fright, had the lower heatshield been installed the oil from my transmission wouldn't have burnt when it hit the cat, and I'd never have known about the leak until it was possibly too late!. That's an upside :D
