What brand/model are the globes from a standard model Euro if anyone knows?
Euros use H1 globes for both High Beams and Driving Lights.....
Cheers but I meant what brand, eg Phillips, Narva etc
I am not sure, but does it matter? :P
Im pretty sure Honda use Stanley, not a brand we get here to readily. Thats for the halogens, not suer what brand the HID's are
I swapped my halogens for Osram Silverstars. Same colour, maybe a bit whiter, but heaps brighter. I actually got interference lines and had to switch the bulbs around as well as fiddle with the orientation (settled with element coil facing up).
Do a search in articles I think. I made a post ages ago on swapping out the standard H1 globes for Phillips Vision Plus and Osram Silverstars. If I wasn't at work I'd find the link for you.
Oh and the OEM globes are Phillips.....all that info plus serial numbers is listed in my post.
Thanks guys.
Where can you get the Silverstars from locally?
i recommend RAYBRIG, PIAA or PHILIPS DIAMOND VISION.
u can get the philips from ur local AutoBarn. the other 2 u may ahve to source it frmo oevrseas (namely EBAY). my friend has PIAA bulbs on his 180 and they look HOTTTTTTTTT
Many places. I got mine from Repco.
I'd go Raybrigs, 3850K (White is 4000K), Good distance..
Or Philips Plus 50/Hella Plus 50 (3200-3500K)...
whatever you do don't touch the glass of the bulbs when installing them - i think mine blew prematurely because i unknowingly touched em. (narva brand btw - from memory)
