I couldn't get my ECU to throw out the check engine light code!
I am using OBD1 P30 ...chipped, is that why I can't get the code?
even if I turn the ignition to on position, there are no CEL on...
I checked the blub on the deskboard and the wiring on ecu....it look fine....
just wondering what's going on of it...
if it's not flashing...
but the light comes on..CEL
then it's fine.
it means ur car got no problems
but the problem I never seen it either flashing or on b4
are u jumping the service connector? if so, it appears you have no codes to register
yup ....I tried to jumping the service connector....no code, no light, no frashing at all....
so when you trurn on your car as normal then MIL ( engine lamp ) wont come on..
it won't come on
if you know how to, remove the jumper in the ecu that makes it read the ROM from the internal ROM space in the MCU. or try another ROM,
remove the jumper at J1
Check the wire A13 (Green/Orange) on the A plug of the ECU, get a test light and probe it, that should turn the prob light on when you switch on your ignition, the PGMFI goes through the diagnostic's and primes the fuel pump. If everything is good it should turn OFF. If its not lighting up there i'd try with another known working ecu. If it turns on it is most likely a break in the wire somewhere, splice a new wire and run in to the gauge cluster wiring connector that should fix it.
